Surf Life Saving New Zealand has conducted a full review and update of our Junior Surf Program. As part of our Member Education development plan, updating the current Junior Surf program was one of the priority projects to be completed during the 2015 off-season. The Junior Surf program was reviewed to meet the needs of the current junior surf environment. This updated program has been be refocused to include better linkages and content for both lifesaving and sport. We would like to say thank you to the Junior Surf Advisory group were established to provide feedback, knowledge and advice throughout the process.

From the age of 7 years children can join their local Surf Life Saving Club to participate in Junior Surf. We encourage children to have fun and develop their skills so they can enjoy the beach and, one day, might be able to save someone else too. It's about developing tomorrow's lifeguards and opening up a whole new world to children.
